Culture as the driving force of social and territorial regeneration
The Culture Section of Cooperativa Integral da Terra recognizes culture as an essential tool for regeneration: social, economic, and ecological.
It is not only about promoting artistic events, but about creating participatory cultural processes that connect people, territories, and knowledge within a living and cooperative ecosystem.
This section arises from the understanding that the ecological and social transition is also a cultural transition: a path that requires new narratives, new ways of living, producing, and cooperating.
What we do
The Culture Section supports and coordinates projects that put into practice the cooperative’s principles of autonomy, solidarity, sustainability, and local identity, across different areas:
- Artistic and community creation, with a focus on connection to the territory, nature, and traditions.
- Intangible heritage, valuing ancient knowledge, crafts, and traditional food practices.
- Cultural education and citizenship, promoting literacy, participation, and a sense of belonging.
- Local cultural economy, through cooperative models of production and distribution.
- Food and rural culture, where food is both a cultural expression and a means of transmitting knowledge.

Living Culture, created together
We believe that culture is the invisible thread that weaves the land, people, and time together.
Every project supported by the Culture Section is also a seed of identity, connection, and regeneration.
