Nurturing the Earth, Regenerating the Future
The Agriculture Section of the Cooperativa Integral da Terra brings together producers, landscape guardians, and projects that work the land in a regenerative way.
Here, we understand agriculture, forestry, and food processing as living expressions of sovereignty, local economy, and culture.
Each member of this section contributes to building a rural cooperative model that is sustainable and deeply connected to the territory.
What We Promote
The Agriculture Section integrates and supports activities linked to production, processing, and ecosystem regeneration:
- Ecosystem and landscape regeneration projects, integrating communities and the territory.
- Agricultural and horticultural production using organic, agroforestry, and regenerative practices;
- Forest management and silvicultural work: clearing, thinning, cutting, reforestation, and soil recovery;
- Animal husbandry and agro-livestock integration;
- Artisanal agro-food processing, with a focus on local products and natural processes (fermentations, preserves, olive oil, honey, etc.);
- Short-circuit distribution, particularly through Colmeia, the cooperative logistics and supply system;
- Rural education and training, promoting the sharing of knowledge and ecological innovation.
This section also supports the preparation of applications and access to public or community funds (PDR 2030, PEPAC, municipal and regional programmes), ensuring technical framing and cooperative accounting.
Impact on the Territory
- Reducing rural abandonment and valuing the living landscape;
- Increasing food and ecological sovereignty;
- Fostering the circular economy and short circuits;
- Generating local employment and training, in synergy with other sections of the cooperative;
- Strengthening the connection between the land and the community.

Living Agriculture, rooted in the land and built in cooperation.
We believe that regenerating the soil means regenerating society, and that the rural future depends on the cooperation between those who cultivate, transform, and share.
