ARTISANSHIP

ARTISANSHIP

THE WISDOM OF HANDS THAT CONNECT PEOPLE AND MATTER

The Artisanship Section of Cooperativa Integral da Terra brings together members who work with their hands, transforming matter into expression, utility, and beauty.

Here, artisanal making is more than a profession — it is a way to preserve ancient knowledge, innovate with awareness, and strengthen the local economy.

Each handmade piece carries time, care, and identity.

Through this section, the cooperative supports manual and creative work, promoting fair production conditions, visibility, and the appreciation of local products.

What we do

The Artisanship Section integrates activities of artisanal production, sustainable design, and circular economy, including:

  • Ceramics and visual arts;
  • Natural cosmetics;
  • Artisanal carpentry and joinery;
  • Underwear and artisanal textiles;
  • Artisanal production for cooperative equipment and decoration;
  • Recovery of traditional crafts and sharing of knowledge in open workshops.

What we promote

  • Valuing manual work and natural materials;
  • Reuse and regenerative design, with a focus on the circular economy;
  • Training and transmission of knowledge through workshops, courses, and creative residencies;
  • Partnerships between creators, designers, and local producers;
  • Cooperative fairs and markets that bring artisans and the community closer together.

Living Artisanship, made by hand and in cooperation.

Craftsmanship is a bridge between the past and the future, between the gesture of the creator and the life of the user.
